This Saturday Chamonix will be hosting a leg of the Swatch Freeride World Tour by The North Face. Saturday is also Australia Day!! Chamonix is home to many expats from the land down under and so are we at Peak Transfer. The festivities will be spread all over Chamonix to celebrate the Freeride World tour but if you are interested in celebrating the great land that is OZ, head down to Le Vert with the Peak Transfer team for their cracking and famous ‘Straya Day Party’. Le Vert’s ownership team includes an Aussie and many of the Chamonix locals are also Australian so it is sure to be a big party.
The festivities will kick off around 5.00pm after a day at Brevent supporting the incredible talents of those participating in the world tour. We have also heard rumours some of the contestants will be staying at Le Vert so you might get to meet some of these awesome shredders!!
Australians are known for many things, one being their ability to knock back a fair few drinks, so make sure you bring your drinking hat! Le Vert are getting into the Aussie spirit by firing up the ‘barbie’ (barbeque for those of you not familiar with our Southern Hemisphere friends shortened terms for just about everything) and throwing a Free Sausage Sizzle at 5.30pm. This is a dress up event, with prizes for those sporting the most Aussie gear!
Come along and join in the fun, we know we will!!
